Fraud Prevention Alert: Beware of Fraudulent Bills and Payment Requests
Magyar Bank is aware of fraudulent invoices, mortgage statements, tax bills, and other payment requests that falsely reference or appear to be associated with the Bank.
Protect yourself:
- Verify unexpected bills and payment requests before taking action.
- Be cautious of requests to change payment or account information.
- Do not click suspicious links, scan unfamiliar QR codes, or open unexpected attachments.
- Never provide passwords, account credentials, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information in response to an unsolicited request.
- Contact the relevant institution using a trusted phone number or official website—not information provided on a suspicious document.
- If you suspect fraud involving Magyar Bank, contact the Bank through our official customer service channels.
When in doubt, stop and verify before making a payment or providing information.
